Whatever your mode of transportation may be we are here to help you with anything you might need help with. Our website has a helpline which you may use once you are our customer. However, a few tips can be given to those who are after general information about geting to Russia and getting around once there.

If you arriving by air

You are better off purchasing your tickets abroad, they are usually cheaper. Once you are in Russia, and if you are going to use a domestic flight, we can help you with your tickets and provide you with any other help and advice.

Travelling by car:

Don't forget your national and international driving permits, registration and insurance for the car and your passport with your visa. Please bear in mind that you will need a different type of invitation. We have a travelling by car page on our website, it has a full list of the information we need to issue you with the correct letter of invitation.

Once in Russia, please feel free to use our helpline. When moving around, avoid stopping over in the middle of nowhere, putting up a tent and spending a night in the open. Check into a motel.

Travelling by train:

Rail is a relatively cheap way to travel once you are in Russia. Ost-West runs the Trans-Siberian Railway tickets service as well as selling tickets for other domestic Russian trains. If you are planning to get into Russia by rail, your international train fare might be cheaper if you pay for your tickets outside Russia.

Travelling by boat:

Several ferries and cruises operate regularly. Anyway, if this is the way you will be arriving, your tickets are best bought abroad too. If you decide to take one of the river cruises between Moscow and St. Petersburg or any other Russian boat trips they are all bookable through us.

Travelling by coach:

Excellent coach services run from Finland to St. Petersburg, from Germany to Moscow, from Poland and Estonia to North-West Russia and from China to Vladivostok. Of course there are many others, all offering a cheaper alternative to the train.
